Job Overview

Tona Designs is seeking a results-driven and analytical SEO Specialist to join our remote team. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital marketing, highly skilled in SEO strategy, and up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithms and ranking factors. You’ll be responsible for optimizing client websites, driving organic traffic, and helping improve visibility across major search engines.

As an SEO Specialist at Tona Designs, you will work closely with designers, developers, and copywriters to ensure websites are built and maintained with best SEO practices in mind. Your insights will play a key role in developing strategies that enhance user experience and deliver measurable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform website audits and provide actionable SEO recommendations

  • Develop and execute on-page and off-page SEO strategies

  • Optimize website content, meta tags, images, and structure for search visibility

  • Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis

  • Monitor and report on keyword rankings, traffic, and other KPIs

  • Implement technical SEO improvements in coordination with developers

  • Stay updated on SEO trends, tools, and algorithm updates

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)

  • Familiarity with website platforms like WordPress and Shopify

  • Excellent understanding of keyword research, link-building strategies, and technical SEO

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to explain SEO concepts clearly to non-technical clients or team members

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote, collaborative team environment

  • Experience in digital marketing or web design agencies is a plus
